Dare I suggest that there may just be too many planes in the sky at any given moment?
Granted, I live 30 mins from Denver International Airport, but I think that's of little consequence as the same thing is going on overhead no matter where you are located in this country.
An even better picture that I would not be able to capture with my lowly camera is my view to the East at night. I can see the lights of no less than 3 or 4 planes having just taken off, staggered like runners at the start of a track event, before they eventually disperse into the direction of their respective destinations. Departures must be somewhere around 30 second to 1 minute intervals. Sorry, but that's just a little crazy to my mind. Can't y'all just write a letter to Aunt Betsy instead of visiting her 3 times a year? At any rate, I wouldn't venture into that Bermuda Triangle - hard telling what's waiting on the other side.
